the project

Pilatus got rid of manual production steps that were time consuming and eliminated risks of damage.

the challenge

The two-dimensional color scheme was drawn on a film by their advertising designers using a plotter and then transferred to the aircraft by the painters. The manual production steps were time-consuming and certain errors were only after the film had already been applied to the aircraft.

the solution

The new system projects the outlines and course of the 3D color schemes directly onto the aircraft surface.
